I used the methods in that episode, when I joined here and passed myself off as a Brit.

It worked for a while.A long while.

Scores killed in Egypt football violence

At least 73 people dead and hundreds injured as supporters of rival teams clash after game in Port Said.

At least 73 people have been killed in clashes after a football game in the Egyptian city of Port Said, medics say.

Hundreds of others were injured in Wednesday's violence, including security personnel.
At least two players suffered light injuries.

Fans of the winning al-Masry team flooded the field seconds after the match with al-Ahly, Egypt's top team, was over.

A security official said the fans chased the players and cornered their supporters on the field and around the stadium,
throwing stones and bottles at them.

"This is unfortunate and deeply saddening.
It is the biggest disaster in Egypt's soccer history," Hesham Sheiha, deputy health minister, said.

He said most of the injuries were caused by concussion and deep cuts.

Al-Ahly football players were trapped in the changing room along with supporters.
Riot police were sent in to drive the rival crowds of fans back.

Reuters news agency quoted military sources as saying the army sent helicopters to transfer al-Ahly football players and fans from Port Said.
The helicopters will transfer the injured to military hospitals.

War, not football'

"This is not football.
This is a war and people are dying in front of us.
There is no movement and no security and no
ambulances," Abo Treika told the Ahly television channel.
"This is a horrible situation and today can never be forgotten."
Fans stormed the pitch second after the game was over

State television announced that parliament will hold an emergency session over the violence.
State prosecutors ordered an investigation into the pitch invasion and the violence that ensued,

Al-Ahly's supporter club, Ultras, said on their website that they would head to Port Said later in the evening.

Al-Masry team won a rare 3-1 against Al-Ahly.

The two teams have a long history of bad blood, and clashes have erupted in recent years between their fans.

Fabio Capello Resigns As England National Team Manager

Feb 8, 2012

- The FA have confirmed Wednesday night that Fabio Capello has resigned as manager of the England national team.
Capello expressed, very explicitly, the decision by The FA to strip John Terry of the captaincy while his trial for racial harassment was pending.
Capello was not consulted about the decision to remove Terry from the captaincy.
Capello and The FA had a meeting about the issue on Wednesday, after which Capello resigned and his resignation was accepted.

Said FA Chairman David Bernstein:

"I would like to stress that during today's meeting and throughout his time as England Manager, Fabio has conducted himself in an extremely professional manner.
We have accepted Fabio's resignation, agreeing this is the right decision.
We would like to thank Fabio for his work with the England team and wish him every success in the future."

England plays in the Euro 2012 championships in June, and will be keen to appoint a permanent manager shortly.
No announcement has been made yet about a caretaker manager.

Caretaker manager Stuart Pearce takes charge of his first England match tonight for the international friendly against Holland at Wembley Stadium.
The match has a 7.45pm kick-off and will be screened live in the UK on ITV 1.

Team news ahead of tonight’s game…

Pearce has chosen Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Scott Parker to captain the side, replacing Chelsea’s John Terry who was stripped of the role by the FA earlier this month.

Yeah...It's The Frogs Tommorow...

Waterloo Again...

Though I Must Say All This Underplaying Of The England Team Is Getting A Bit Lame...!!!

ENGLAND aim to get one over on the French today — just like we did by beaming a giant St George’s Cross on to the Arc de Triomphe.

The Sun caught the French defence napping with our display of patriotism — and hopefully Roy Hodgson and his men can follow suit.

Eyeful ... England flag beamed on Eiffel Tower in Paris

As the red and white of the St George’s cross shone out, bemused Parisians shouted: “Come on England? Mais non!”

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4365562/Show-em-no-merci-We-beam-England-flag-on-Paris-icons-the-Eiffel-Tower-and-Arc-de-Triomphe-ahead-of-France-v-England-at-the-Euros.html

[b] Before Parisians could say “Zut alors!”

Merde...Oh La La...!!!

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead.
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;
Then lend the eye a terrible aspect;
Let pry through the portage of the head
Like the brass cannon; let the brow o'erwhelm it
As fearfully as doth a galled rock
O'erhang and jutty his confounded base,
Swill'd with the wild and wasteful ocean.
Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide,
Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
To his full height. On, on, you noblest English.
Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof!
Fathers that, like so many Alexanders,
Have in these parts from morn till even fought
And sheathed their swords for lack of argument:
Dishonour not your mothers; now attest
That those whom you call'd fathers did beget you.
Be copy now to men of grosser blood,
And teach them how to war. And you, good yeoman,
Whose limbs were made in England, show us here
The mettle of your pasture; let us swear
That you are worth your breeding; which I doubt not;
For there is none of you so mean and base,
That hath not noble lustre in your eyes.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

The Ox Is Rumoured To Be In The Starting Line Up...

Oxlade-Chamberlain, whose potential is obvious.
He remains a jewel requiring more polishing but what marks him out, along with his physical and technical gifts, is his hunger to learn.

He listens.
On Jan 22, he was heading down the tunnel at the Emirates, ready to face Manchester United, when Thierry Henry pulled him to one side.
“You have a bit extra, so try to run at people,” said Henry.
“Don’t waste today.
Take people on, show the world what you can do, work hard, work back.”
He departed to a standing ovation despite Arsenal’s loss.

How do you think Montserrat would do against these two, Sod? Lowliest team, or one of in the Fifa rankings; well either them or Nepal/Bhutan; they made a film out of those two playing, did you know?

Been drinking, so it is nonsense but I still cheered when England scored.

How old are you again, Sod?

I missed the days, watching Arsenal and Manchester play in the 80's.They'd miss a goal and the player would break down in tears, then, the stadium would collapse and the survivors would set the town on fire and riot.

Miss that intense passion, for such a boring game....
