It was great being injured as a linesman in the railways,they made me a mailman,I spent my pay on buying Cd's,records,pot, riding through Sydneys underground,over the Bridge,up to Central,listening to this.Cheap hotdogs,$1 can coke and you'd find an ally,a partly constructed building site,or demolition,bridge or harbour,light up and trip out giving mail for the day.Sometimes sensitive buildings and a pass was needed until they got used to me.Grabbing Drum Media Magazine for the week,keep up with shows in townMissing Lou Reed in 93,but catching up 10 years later.We saw John Cale though,during Fragments of a Rainy Season.Brilliant art.

The last song Ian Curtis listened too....after drinking a bottle of whiskey,suffering ever increasing violent seizures,the complications of this occult girlfriend,Anika,his pregnant wife,it was all too much.I read Ians lyrics and get haunted,only a victim of the occult could write from his perspective and insights contained within.

Joy Divisions bassist said there was a dark secret about Ians connection with his lover....and that's the way it stayed,a secret.William S Burroughs often welcomed certain rock-stars,Lou Reed,Bowie,Curt Cobain,but with Ian,Burroughs said simpley,"Fuck Off".There's more to the story,but the band won't say,it kind of makes you look insane.A conspiracy? No,just wrong company.Ian was vulnerable anyway.Epilleptic.
