He's one of the few new generation singers I actually like. The Strokes, had a few good albums, but drugs and attitude will destroy them.

I love Jack White,pure artist,none of this elitist shit,like The Strokes,or Patti Fucking Smith,whom I hate,before them.

Fell In Love With A Girl,so exciting,it's how sex, love should always feel.

The Electric Eels-You`re Full of Shit

Post  Billy Ruben on Wed Nov 27, 2013 10:18 am

Theme song of the week...

thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up

Lyrics to You're Full Of Shit :

From the goddamn first thing I do in the morning, 'til the goddamn last thing I do at night,

Oh wouldn't it be so terribly nice

Don't you ever want to get it right

All my goddamn ex-friends, they oh so politely criticize me and advise me,

They don't know what they're talking about, they don't mean a thing,

A bunch of stupid assholes hanging onto strings, and you're full of shit, and you know it's true

When I'm riding in my car, to some hotel, to some crummy bar,

Please preacher, cure her and send her back home,

Wherever you go, whatever you do,

Goodness gracious

Shape to shape, form to form

In a circular motion, full erosion

You're so full of shit, and you know it's true, 'cause we all heard you, talking on the telephone, full of shit, full of shit

Molotov cocktails, death and dada,

Don't you ever want to get it right?

Sally and Judy were standing next to me, and they said that you said that Heidi was a real drag,

Leave on a plane, driving Novocaine

See you next summer, have another bummer,

You're full of shit and your ugly of face,

And you're full of shit, and you know it's true,

The same thing amigo applies to you

Driving in my car, oh baby,

See you round summertime,

Driving in the air,

I just think that it isn't quite fair to me,

And shape to shape, form to form

Funny little motion, full erosion

You're so full of shit, you know it's true

Same thing applies to me, applies to you,

You're full of shit, full of shit, full of shit, you're full of shit, full of shit

Avatar change time, means a new signature and a new temperament to be wary of,I give you my darkest love,

Nick Cave and The Birthday Party.Hands up who wants to die.

hands up who wants to die!

have you heard how Sonny's burning
like some bright erotic star?
and he lights up the proceedings
and raises the temperature.
flame on! flame on!

someday I'll cut him down yeah uh
now I've seen to Sonny's burning
yeah someday I think I'll cut him down
but it can get so co-cold in here

and he gives off such an evil heat.
flame on! flame on!
hai-hai hail my incubatic incubator.

now pay witness to Sonny's burning
warming the damp and rotten seed
warming the damp and rotten seed
that blooms into the DEMON FLOWER
now both fire and flowers consume me.
flame on! flame on!

evil heat is running through me (through me)
flame on! now flame on!
evil heat is running through me uh! uh!
Sonny's burning pits into me
flame on! yeah flame on!
Sonny's burning holes into me
don't interrupt! don't interrupt!
flame on! flame on!
through me yeah through me
don't interrupt! flame on!

Bad brains The Regulator demo 1978

Always had a "Thing" for rough cut demos and live versions of much loved songs. This, from my perspective is the finest take Bad Brains did with The Regulator.
Love the guttural sound and guitar recording, with the repressed violent vocals.Polished works just sound a little empty to me,this captures the grit in the time it was cut, with New York, penniless, crumbling and falling down around them. The NY Police were busy suppressing punks and homosexuals,Bad Brains, being black and punk, smoking dope,I'm sure got noticed a few times.Great Stuff, enjoy.

Re: Cool Songs

Post  Spiritual Saint on Fri Apr 18, 2014 7:12 am

These songs are not cool, they are an assault on my psyche and why the profanity in a song? The reason is that money can be earned from this and drugs are promoted but I do feel that one of the members here has a lot of trouble with authorities etc. I sensed this straightaway whilst I was reading up on this forum and absorbing all this energy.

Jumpin' Jack Flash (The Rolling Stones - Introduced by John Lennon in sign language!

Post  Billy Ruben on Sun Jun 29, 2014 10:34 pm

Could'nt believe Mick Jagger kept this under wraps for 25 years, not being released that is.

Due to him not being satisfied with the Stones performance.Further nudging Brian Jones out of the limelight and contribution

to the band.Best years were with Brian. He may upset a lot the band and frienships in general, but he was the original leader,

christen the bands name, chose many the style of the earlier Stones material.Drugs destroyed his personality and the others

did little to alleviate that, excacerbating the deterioration, even conspiring against him I theorise.Pallenburg runs off with Richards

their new manager takes over many of Brians roles.Alot of pressure and jealousies. He was the best looking and most talented

of the Rolling Stones, exceptional. Why Mick kept this hidden ?,Brian on a bad day was still equal to the rest of the band.

Since it was his last live performance on camera with the Stones,it's posted. The band look great, especially Micks sneering

lyrical delivery.Shame on him thinking this...I for one, favour this video and performance of Jumping Jack Flash above all

others.

No expectations - The Rolling Stones - Rock And Roll Circus

Post  Billy Ruben on Sun Jun 29, 2014 11:00 pm

Another track from the same performance and another favourite of the Stones.

Although have had an extensive catalougue of Stones material, they just lost that edge after Exile On Main Street.

Between 1977 and 1979,mediocre at best, then one exceptional album,Tattoo You,haha, remember buying that the second day it

was released, still got it,tatty and worn,Just Waiting On a Friend, great lyrics, but Start Me Up was the catchy single, wearing sweat

pants and all that early 80's rage of working out, culminating in that Olivia Newton John song,Physical later in the decade.

I laughed it off,Mick Jagger

no longer set trends,he was following them, same with Lou Reed later in 1986,with his Rap/Rock album,Mistrial,God Awful examples from

these two very influential persons in my life. The Eighties, hollow and tinsel town for the masses, but had an exceptional underground

scene that very few witnessed let alone...bought their albums. It's the time I shifted from the Stones and onto Roxy Music,Brian Eno

The Fall and most of the punk followed.Leading to the Velvets in 86-87,everything changed....finally Understood. What it was all about.

Been having a trip down memory lane it was Brian Jones that came to the fore-front and the original participant to form the 27 Club

and all the conspiratorial murders....eh-hum,death by misadventures that followed to qualify for it.

Winehouse was the last to make it....who they'll choose next ? Has to be someone cool and rebellious...I reject Spears for that, can't be American

keep the satanic rituals English please.  cthulhu

Pere Ubu - Drinking Wine With Spodyody

Post  Billy Ruben on Tue Oct 21, 2014 7:35 am

I rarely do love songs,or drinking songs, prefer murder ballads and junkie rock

and I couldn't find my favourite version which is live at the Longhorn 1978 titled as Cloud 149,the original and the best,so deal with

the studio version from dub housing, which is cool as hell,I like it and so will you plonkers.Almost bought a bottle of red,a good expensive red

but the demonic attacks I suffer at the hands of it,I'll stick to codeine abuse until the government legalises hemp/hash oil...I'm already on the list.

I'll be a much nicer person once I'm on the "Oil"....if I don't kill a cop waiting for it....enjoy.

Brainbombs - Fuckmurder

Post  Billy Ruben on Tue Oct 21, 2014 8:00 am

As I was saying I prefer murder ballads and you don't get better than this.

Heil Brainbombs,I see Ann the Taree Cop,I know just what to do,since she walked past me at Woolworths the other day

with this queer faggot cop that found me hot...as usual, she said "No not that one,he's a bastard cunt".

Yeah I am you doughy dyke slag....I owe you one in this style, see you around.

It was the last straw...a faggot cop, with the hots for me,I'm going to...KILL THEM ALL !!!!

Raining in the dark
On the house in the park
Sooner or later
I will get them all

She looked at me and smiled
Do you want to fuck?
I replied with a stab
I knew she was dying
Dying for fuckmurder

She screamed like a pig
And swallowed the knife
Cut her fucking cunt out
And put it in my pocket

Fuck tight bitch ass
I knew she was dying
Dying for fuckmurder

Fuck tight bitch ass
I knew she was dying
Dying for fuckmurder

Raining in the dark
On the house in the park
Sooner or later I will get them all

She looked at me and smiled
Do you want to fuck?
I replied with a stab

Fuck tight bitch ass
I knew she was dying
Dying for fuckmurder

She screamed like a pig
And swallowed the knife
Cut her fucking cunt out
And put it in my pocket

Fuck tight bitch ass
I knew she was dying
Dying for fuckmurder

Fuck tight bitch ass
The snuffwhore was dying
Dying for fuckmurder

Fuck tight bitch ass
I knew she was dying
Dying for fuckmurder

Fuck tight bitch ass
The snuffwhore was dying
Dying for fuckmurder

Fuck tight bitch ass
I knew she was dying
Dying for fuckmurder

I haven't been back to San Remo since December 2009,poor fuckers thought I was stalking her,LOL,I'm stalked by heaps of chicks

I don't do the stalking.

Anyway,I got yellow fever these days, not interested in white chicks who don't know what they're doing.

Still love her as a person, but the way she went about it lowers me to the scum level that other guys would take advantage of.

I don't do scum,should've just told me,silly twat.Looks like with her interest she's having a second childhood,

the one she wasn't allowed to have.Good on her.But definitely not my style....actually,Blerghhhhhh !!!!

Here's my style, check out this man,Beginning To See The Light by the Velvets, with JOHN Cale...

I'm so happy,I love Lou even more. This is a gift,my life is complete,I finally know what the Velvets third album would sound like with

Cale onboard.Best ever.

See you later Sod....off to score,if I get murdered,it's because I'm so happy for once, take care old bean, love Billy.

The Velvet Underground - "Stephanie Says"

Post  Billy Ruben on Sat Dec 06, 2014 5:50 am

LYRICS:
Stephanie says
That she wants to know
Why she's given half her life
To people she hates now.

Stephanie says
When answering the phone,
'What country shall I say is calling
From across the world?'

But she's not afraid to die.
The people all call her Alaska.
Between worlds, so the people ask her,
'Cause it's all in her mind.
It's all in her mind.

Stephanie says
That she wants to know
Why it is though she's the door,
She can't be the room.

Stephanie says
But doesn't hang up the phone,
What sea shell she is calling
From across the world.

But she's not afraid to die.
The people all call her Alaska.
Between worlds, so the people ask her,
'Cause it's all in her mind.
It's all in her mind.

They're asking, 'Is it good or bad?'
It's such an icy feeling.
It's so cold in Alaska.
It's so cold in Alaska.
It's so cold in Alaska.

Roxy Music - The Bob (Medley)

Post  Billy Ruben on Sat Dec 06, 2014 6:29 pm

Billy Ruben wrote:
I remember Lester Bangs describing Roxy Music "making love songs sound like the decline of the west no mean

feat".
He may have meant to injure and insult but to me it's quite a compliment, especially those who don't understand, that love is the ultimate

battlefield,to retain your own heart and to capture the love of another, whilst up against all those who wish to conspire, lie, plot and even murder

just to prevent love from ever occurring. It's amazing what petty souls are born from jealousy,it answers the question of their exterior and interior

ugliness and why they deserve to be at the back of the line to receive love....and to feel loved.

(ferry)
I dreamed last night about your face
Your star shone all night
Over the moon it shone brighter
Star shining so bright
You were so pure not for this world
So gentle and light
How could I hear their stories?
They told me not right
Too many times beautiful
Too many times sad
Too many times wonderful
Too bad
Spoken: "but when the party was over, and all was quiet and still,
We walked together in moonlight and looked down over the calm lake,
Hand in hand, the stars in our eyes."
So in my dream you still loved me
Gave time reason last night
But this was only life´s story
Made simple that´s right

Television - Little Johnny Jewell & O Mi Amore

Post  Billy Ruben on Sat Dec 13, 2014 5:06 am

Yes you run off you little tinkering arse,

Tried to post this three times and the Sodlike Gremlins just happen to play up,spiteful little worm.

The post on my....erm...Gareths Birthday went at length to describe Malcolm McClaren as a parasite and dedicated

fashion follower of punk, that the Sex Pistols were behind the Australians in that raw punk sound offered by the genius

of bands like the Saints and Radio Birdman and that Brain Eno had more influence on punk, first being influenced by

The Velvet Underground and giving back his knowledge to the blossoming punk movement in New York from 1970-1978

with bands like Television,Talking Heads, many others, all the way to No Wave with Mars and others not mentioned.

It was Enos' involvement with Television is how I discovered the band, then quickly moved onto the Neon Boys and back to

their classic period,Marquee Moon to Adventure at a later date.

It's how things are done at Sodlike, like Forum God does a thread about Julians,I never knew his name back then.
Sod is quite well known in the Icke community and this thread was a swipe at him more than Gareth.

Although,no matter how genuine or crazy Gareth might be,even a decent chap,I'll never accept his music or forgive

him for it,he must be bashed. But anyway old son,I turned 45,made another year and boy darling,I'm hotter than you

at the moment....Anyway,I'm off to have some strudel, ice cream and try and get picked up...by some bored older girls

like nearly happened 20 minutes ago, whilst buying the strudel....Eat too many strudels and that gut might expand.

End up desperate like Ciggy and need a Vegan diet, like Hell.

Gareth, this is what cool songs are all about.

Television deny they were a punk band...and they are right, but laid the groundwork for many to follow.

They were also the first band that talked Hilly Kristel into opening CBGBs doors to the New York movement

and a legend was born....That's were true Punk was born and bred....It wasn't English, but had English influences like

Eno behind it,not the thief McClaren who stole New York Dolls and Richard Hells Television ideas for his own,the Sex Pistols.
